Budget-Friendly Toy Treasures

It’s been so hot here in Texas that we’ve spent most of our days indoors. I figured it was time to get the kids some new toys. We love taking them to Once Upon A Child and letting them pick out a toy.

On this trip, I came across a toy I’d seen at a big-box store but had hesitated to buy. To my surprise, it was only a third of the price at Once Upon A Child and even came with batteries included! I’m a big fan of educational toys, and this one is perfect for toddlers, teaching them how to write letters and numbers with a touch screen and stylus.

This quickly became my daughter’s new favorite toy. She asks to bring it everywhere. I love that it keeps her busy and helps her improve her fine motor skills. You can always find a great selection there, from dolls and trucks to building blocks and play kitchen sets. My son’s absolute favorite is dinosaurs; a good portion of his collection has been picked up secondhand. 

I also purchased my daughter’s first Barbie doll for only $4.50. It was in perfect condition, and if my daughter happens to destroy it, I won’t be heartbroken because it was so affordable.

Both kids were thrilled with their new finds, and my husband and I were delighted with the savings. It was another successful outing to Once Upon A Child!
