Festive Fourth of July Fits

Festive Fourth of July Fits

Posted by Jenny Nguyen on Jun 23rd 2023

One of the biggest holidays of the year is just around the corner! Yep, I'm talking about Independence Day! I live for matching outfits and themed holiday attire, so I am beyond excited to dress my kids for the occasion.

Last year, our family went with a navy gingham theme. Gingham is a classic print and very easy to find. This year, I'm dressing the kids in red and white. Luckily, both of them already have something in their closets. Jesslyn has this adorable strawberry gingham dress that I'm accessorizing with a handmade bow. Myles has a seersucker shirt that's a bit snug, so I'm layering a white tee underneath and leaving it unbuttoned. It's an incredible hack for any button-up top. I just wanted to snap some pictures of them in these outfits before they outgrow them.

One of my favorite things about shopping at Once Upon A Childis how well-organized the store is. They always have a seasonal section, and right now, it's packed with stars, stripes and patriotic colors! I got a head start and went there at the beginning of the summer. I found this adorable nautical dress for Jesslyn, which matches perfectly with the navy pique polo that Myles received as a gift. Going for a nautical theme is another easy and subtle way to show your red, white and blue spirit. My kiddos now have two outfit options for the 4th of July!

So, which matching outfits would you choose: the red ones or the nautical navy ones? If you haven't planned outfits for your kids yet, I suggest you rush to your nearest Once Upon A Child store!
