Jacket Haul with Javessa

Posted by Javessa Stanton on Mar 21st 2023

Hello everyone, it’s Javessa, and today I will be sharing some of my recent coats and jacket finds with you all. I can’t believe we are already in March, and there is still lots of snow! But those warm, sunny days are slowly making their way... I would say the kiddos definitely need more jackets in their wardrobe, so in this thrift haul, I mainly searched for winter coats and jackets, but also some lightweight jackets for the transition into spring/summer.

When looking for affordable, gently used coats and jackets, the perfect place to go to is Once Upon A Child. At your local Once Upon A Child, you will always find a variety of items, styles and sizes. Their coat and jacket selection is huge and ever-changing. They even have a great variety of coats and jackets for every season! All their jackets are organized by size, making my visit faster and easier. On every visit, I’m greeted with such kindness by the workers, and they are always so helpful and there to answer any questions I may have.

I always like to go in with a budget and I always end up coming out under my budget. This time around, I happily found four jackets, including a sage green spring/summer jacket, a dark green spring/summer jacket, a winter ivory coat and a light gently used name-brand spring jacket, all for a total of just $32! I really loved the ivory winter jacket since it was so perfect for today’s cold weather — it's even layered with a great quality and cozy material. It always amazes me in every haul how I continue to find gently used high-value brands for such affordable prices!

In my previous blog, I talked about how amazing it is to sell gently used clothes to Once Upon A Child, and they pay cash on the spot for your items. I've even had times when I brought in a big bag of gently used clothes and earned anywhere between $50 to $100. I love knowing that I’m trading in clothes that my children have outgrown and earning cash back that I can use for the like-new items my kids need now. What a win-win situation — plus, they also purchase gently used furniture, shoes and equipment!

I hope you all enjoyed this blog, and I can’t wait to share the next one with you.
