Once we've decided on the items to purchase, we'll present you with an offer. If you're thrilled with the deal, you'll walk away with CASH in hand OR you can choose to trade your items for something new-to-you from our current selection.
Each Once Upon a Child location is individually owned and operated by members of your community. My husband and I have lived in Southeastern Wisconsin our whole lives. Our names are Maloree and Steve and we are the owners and operators of the Once Upon a Child in Kenosha, Wisconsin. We strive to provide our customers with an exceptionally clean, organized, and friendly store filled with an abundance of childrens' items. Shopping second-hand shouldn't be a negative experience for you or your kids. We pride ourselves in providing an amazing retail shopping experience from the moment you enter our place.
Children can be EXPENSIVE. The rate they outgrow their clothing and toys contributes to a large portion of the expense. We believe ALL children should have access to nice clothing, toys, and equipment; and our store helps make this a reality.
YOU are an important part of our mission to better our Community. We Purchase Gently Used Kids items, such as:
Clothing (Infant to Size 20 Youth)
Shoes (Infant to 7 Youth)
Toys (developmental to age 8)
Equipment (swings, highchairs, rockers, play yards, bassinets and more).
We offer cash on-the-spot for the items we select that meet current styles, safety, and condition standards. We maintain high merchandise standards by thoroughly inspecting all toys and equipment to ensure they function correctly with little wear and for any safety recalls. All items we pass on that don't meet our standards for resalable condition are given back to you after check out. Many of our customers opt for Store Credit or for trading the Cash Value of the items we can purchase, toward new Clothing in the next size. We award our customers for a trade by providing 10% off their entire purchase at check out.
Both buying customers and selling customers can benefit from Once Upon a Child, by either receiving money for the gently used items sold to the store or purchasing great name brands at a fraction of the cost. You also help keep 10s of thousands of pounds of Clothing, Toys, and Equipment out of our local landfills.
