Once Upon A Child is a nationwide network of retail stores that provides customers with a fun and convenient way to buy and sell gently used kids' stuff, focusing on quality, safety, and value. Through our business model, we're able to make saving money on children's clothes, toys, baby furniture and equipment a reality every day. This Once Upon a Child location is locally owned by a family here in Spokane Valley. We're excited that you're considering joining our team!

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Provide a high level of customer service by ensuring customers are assisted in an enthusiastic, timely, and knowledgeable manner
  • Foster a positive and fun environment for customers, coworkers, as well as YOURSELF
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace that is easy and efficient to operate within
  • Create an inviting and appealing place to shop keep the displays neat and organized
  • Carry out the full process of buying in merchandise become familiar with brands and products that we carry, as well as pricing guidelines
  • Build relationships with customers we dont just provide customer service, were a part of a community
  • Process customer purchases, tag incoming product, and stock the sales floor
  • Other daily operational duties as assigned by the store manager


Our ideal candidate is/has:

  • A friendly, energetic, and helpful attitude
  • A desire to learn and enjoys a team-oriented environment
  • An effective communicator direct, kind, and clear
  • An enthusiasm for our business model can honestly and proudly promote it to customers
  • Prior retail experience, preferred


Compensation:

Start at $16.30/hr + Eligible for Monthly Bonuses after 3 months. 

Our monthly bonus model provides employees additional compensation directly related to monthly business performance. We also offer all employees a 30% discount.
