Lovely Library Looks

Posted by Jenny Nguyen on Jan 18th 2024

Hello! I’m so excited to be blogging for Once Upon A Child again this year! I hope you’ve been finding my tips and tricks helpful and I look forward to sharing more shopping adventures with you this year. This month, I decided to jump on the declutter train. January feels like the perfect time to hit the reset button. For me that means delving into my kids' closets and parting ways with items we no longer need, all of which will find a new home at Once Upon A Child.

Before Christmas, I made a trip to Once Upon A Child to sell the clothes my kids had outgrown. To my surprise, my most recent sale earned me almost $100. They purchased nearly everything I brought in. You truly never know what you can earn from selling your kid’s items.

After the holidays, I also made a shopping trip to Once Upon A Child and stumbled upon the cutest knit set for my daughter, priced at only $8. She wore it for the first time when we took the kids to the library. My son also sported his sneakers and puffer vest that we found at Once Upon A Child.

A budget-friendly and sustainable activity with your kids, such as a trip to the library, can be a delightful experience. We are especially blessed to have access to an amazing public library. It was built last year with a pretend play town and a T-rex fossil replica. Our family loves activities that involve going outside and exploring our community such as trips to the library.

We picked up a book about the environment. It breaks down the impacts of the earth and how everything is connected in our ecosystem. It’s never too early to teach our kids to be good stewards of our planet.

If you've made it this far, I encourage you to consider refreshing your kids' closets. If you have items to pass on, I strongly recommend selling them at Once Upon A Child to keep them out of the landfill!
