Tips for Summer Trips

Summer break is finally here! I’m sure everyone has a packed agenda for the season. Everything from vacations to summer camps, pool days to amusement parks — the list goes on and on. It can be a lot to prepare for and a lot on your wallet too! Today I’ll be talking about all the summer essentials you can find at Once Upon A Child that will save you some money so you can freely enjoy all of your summer activities.
Our family is getting ready to go on our first trip as a family of four. We’ll be staying at an all-inclusive resort in Mexico, and I’m very excited. As exciting as this is, I’ve also been very stressed about the preparations and everything we need to purchase and pack. We’re already spending a lot on this trip, so I am willing to save money where I can. That being said, I have been gathering quite a few things from my local Once Upon A Child for this trip.
The first thing I found was a pair of sunglasses for my son for just $2! Look at how cool he looks in these shades! I also found this adorable striped swimsuit for my baby girl, which she actually doesn’t fit yet, but I couldn’t pass it up. A few months ago, I went through the shoe bins at my local Once Upon A Child and scored these like-new brown sandals for only $5! I also stocked up on rash guards and reusable swim diapers, which can be expensive, but I grabbed them for $3 - $5 a pop! They seriously have all the summer goodies you’re looking for. Sun hats, sunglasses, swimwear, life vests, floaties, goggles, sandals, sand toys — you name it, they have it all in one place!
