Thanksgiving Thrift Thrills

Posted by Javessa Stanton on Nov 15th 2023

Does anyone else love Thanksgiving as much as I do? With Thanksgiving being just around the corner it’s time to get our fall wardrobes set and ready for cute family photos and activities. Every year around Thanksgiving we love to gather the family and create some holiday memories by letting the kids pick out some super cute pumpkins for our porch. I had certain colors and styles I wanted for the kiddos when we go pumpkin picking so I headed to my local Once Upon A Child and found everything that I needed.

In today's thrift haul, I found some super cute pieces for the kiddos. Starting with my daughter Raya, I found a cute brown knit cardigan, beige jeans, a white ribbed shirt and brown leather boots. For my son Rowan, I found a cute brown vest, beige pants, a white knit long-sleeve and adorable brown boots. Everything came up to a total of $50! Can you believe that? Every item I purchased was in such amazing condition and looked brand new.

When they collect pieces from customers it is always assured that there are no holes, rips, stains, broken pieces, cracking or pilling. Everything you purchase from them is worth your buck. So what are you waiting for? Clear up some space get rid of all those gently used clothes that your kids no longer wear and bring them to your local Once Upon A Child.

Here are my best tips for selling your child’s used items:

  • Apparel should be in ready-to-wear condition.
  • Equipment and toys must meet current safety standards.
  • Apparel should be folded neatly or laid flat in a box, bin, or tote.
  • Be prepared to show your ID when selling your gently used items.
  • Call us ahead of time if you want to find out what our most wanted items are.
